NOTES:

list:

- * means no owner yet, add yourself to whatever looks like a match with your interest/skills/location

- owner doesn't mean you have to do it all yourself, but that you ringmaster the job and make sure it gets done by somebody!

- add subtasks to major categories as needed!

stuff:

- off-playa storage: we've freeloaded off brenda for a while, with

camp stuff taking up over half of her personal storage space that's a

few hundred dollars a month. plus tamara considering what big/heavy

personal gear to leave permanently down in SF, in addition to bike.

perhaps two air mattresses?

- transportation, stuff/people & vehicle/trailer matchup: making sure

that all people and things do indeed fit in the intended vehicle to

get to playa. hoping to avoid 'oh, i assumed *you* had room for that'

snafus at the last minute. should be easy using GeneralInventory.

- transportation, awkward stuff packaging: several big/heavy/awkward

items would be *way* less of a pain in the ass to transport if we had

better storage for them, possibly dedicated heavy-duty bags of the

right size: arrow (currently gets damaged and needs repair every time

it's transported), barn struts and covers, rebar stakes, water

(plastic 2.5 gallon containers heavy yet fragile and can't have stuff

stacked over them in cars). job includes figuring out constraints

(size of objects, how many should fit per bag so it's not insanely

heavy), finding said bags (perhaps roaming local thrift stores to find

cheap ones), getting stuff packed up into these bags.

- for physical organization, would be perfect to have an enclosed

(plastic) drawer system that works in kitchen, stuff storage, and

dressing room. job entails doing research on strength/cost - how high

can they stack? do they slide reasonably well or do they stick so much

they're a pain in the ass? how much weight can be in them? if we get a

whole whackload can we get a good discount?

if a bunch of shared gear were in these drawers (categorized as per GeneralInventory), life would be oh so

fabulous when it comes time for offplaya storage.

construction plan:

- estimates of how long each thing will take to build (hours, people).

we've all agreed on goal of no more than two days to have camp all

built, then we can go cavort.

common spaces:

- dressing room: new this year we will have dressingroom space for

your personal gear/clothes/costumes that is different from the place

where you sleep. plan to use dome (or icasa module) for this, so it

won't be anybody's primary sleeping spot and is always available

without fears of waking up a sleeper. need some kind of

shelving/drawer plan so we don't need vast amounts of floor space.

mirror will be here. we presume none of us is averse to changing

clothes amongst friends.

- stuff storage: last year a lot of nonkitchen but group stuff was in

the kitchen/lounge, would be better to explicitly plan a better place

for it.

kitchen:

- equipment is pots, pans, etc

- furnishings is tables, shelves, lights, drawers

- for water, in past we've said each person just brings their own. do

more explicit planning to consider other options this year. definitely

consider form factor, no small bottles except prefrozen ones in dryice

cooler. is there a more intelligent way to distribute it amongst

vehicles than in the same one you're riding in? safety constraint is

need to have some amount of distribution so no single point of

vehicular failure screws us.

- cooling: job should be done by experienced YAHer, to avoid

fiascos like last year.
